Elmelunden is a nursing home which wanted to highlight its sustainable and green profile. The facility had to be welcoming and practical all at once for both its residents and the visitors. Therefore we worked on every level, at many scales. From signage and wayfinding to interior design through light design.
We created specific color schemes and used a limited range of materials (solid wood, grass, linoleum).
We redefined the various zones inside the facility from the entrance and lobby to the living rooms, activity center and respite niches.
The result is a revamped building with a new identity. A place with a cosy atmosphere, where it is nice to be. A facility where social life is enhanced while options of retrieving one self from others are also offered.
